We had a BBQ yesterday for labor day and I wanted to try a new hamburger recipe. I've never had great luck with making my own patties for some reason and wanted to keep trying til I found a good one. This one is GREAT and a keeper!! I will use this one again for sure! Plus the "secret sauce" it had with it was just like In-N-Out's spread, which happens to be my hubby's most favorite sauce in the burger world :) Win Win I say!!
I found this recipe at Sixsistersstuff.com
1 lb ground beef (we used 1.25 lbs ground turkey)
1/2 cup shredded Monterrey jack cheese
1/4 cup BBQ suce
seasoned salt to taste
black pepper to taste
onion powder to taste
Combine the meat with the cheese, BBQ sauce, and other seasonings. Then shape into patties about 1 inch thick. We got about 6 patties with ours. Then grill :)
Secret sauce:
3/4 cup of mayo
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup relish
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
seasoned salt to taste
Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. Adjust to your tastes (I ended up having to add a little more seasoned salt til I thought it tasted good).
Serve with your hamburger. We just placed a good amount on our buns before assembling our burgers. Divine goodness!!
