Layered Jello

This jello is GLORIOUS! It looks amazing and tastes even better. It does take a long time to make... but the end result is well worth it. Plus, you can do it throughout the day so it doesn't really take a huge chunk of time in one sitting. I like to make this the day before I want to eat it and just set a timer to keep me on task of adding the different layers as it's ready. You get into a system and it goes quick! It is a tradition of ours for Christmas dinner each year. It's a fun one!

Ingredients:

  • 5 different flavors of Jello, the 3 oz packages
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • boiling water
Directions:
  • Dissolve 1 package of Jello in 1 1/4 cup of boiling water.
  • Pour 3/4 of it into a 9 inch square baking pan. Chill for about 30 minutes.
  • Chill remaining 1/4 in a bowl and add 3 Tbsp of sour cream, blend well and spoon over the cooled first layer.
  • Chill until set, about 30 minutes.
  • Repeat with each flavor.
  • Chill for 2 hours before serving.
