Jello Poke Cake

For St. Patrick's Day I thought it would be fun to make something green with the girls. I wanted it to be something we would actually eat and that they could help make. I found this recipe on pinterest and knew it would be perfect! The girls LOVED helping make this and it was super easy and tasted great! there are so many possibilities with this cake since you can play with it and use any flavor of jello. Try it. You'll like it!!

I found this recipe here

1 package white cake mix (and ingredients to make it)
2 package (3 oz each) lime jello
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
topping:
1 cup cold milk
1 small package instant vanilla pudding mix
8 oz Cool Whip, Thawed
sprinkles if desired

Prepare cake according to package directions for a 9x13 pan. Let cook about an hour. In a small bowl, dissolve the jello in the boiling water then stir in the cold water and set aside. With the back of a wooden spoon, poke holes into cooled cake. Slowly pour jello over cake. Cover and place in fridge.

In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes (the mixture will be thick). Fold in whipped topping and spread over cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
