Alfredo Spaghetti

I found this recipe on pinterest and it looked/sounded delicious and easy (my favorite things!). Plus we LOVE pasta here! This was SUPER easy to throw together and was delish! Usually I am anti jarred Alfredo sauce but for this I decided to use Bertolli's garlic alfredo sauce and I thought it was pretty good. I think next time I will definitely make my Homemade Alfredo Sauce though :)

I found the original recipe HERE and just served it up a little different than the original

1 (26 oz) Jar of your favorite Spaghetti Sauce (we are Prego Lovers)
1 (16 oz.) Jar Garlic Alfredo Sauce
1 lb. spaghetti noodles
1 pound of ground beef (we always use ground Turkey instead)
2 cups shredded mozzarella, plus a little more to add at end (optional)
shredded Parmesan cheese (enough to sprinkle on top at end, optional)
1/2 cup milk (2% or higher)
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried parsley

Cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions.
Drain noodles very well.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Spray 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray.

In a large bowl, combine alfredo sauce,2  cups  mozzarella, milk, oregano and parsley.
Stir well to combine.
Add cooked and drained spaghetti noodles and toss to coat them completely.

Place entire mixture into baking dish and
cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 30 minutes.

While it cooks, start browning your ground beef in a medium sauce pan.
Once beef is brown and crumbled, drain well to remove excess grease.
Over low heat add spaghetti sauce and mix. Put cover over sauce pan and allow the mixture to keep warm until pasta is ready.

After pasta is finished cooking, remove foil and top with meat sauce. Then top with some shredded Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese (optional) and put back in oven for 5-10 min for cheeses to melt. Then remove from oven and let sit about 10 min. It is important to let sit so it sets up a little, otherwise you might end up with a "soup-ier" mixture that would still taste good :)
