Banana Bread Oatmeal

 I got this recipe from Clean Simple Eats. This is one of my all time favorite ways to eat oatmeal! I usually don't love oatmeal when it is microwaved but I love it this way!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup old fashioned rolled oats (or 26.67 grams)
  • 1/3 cup water (I use 2/3 cup)
  • 40 g mashed banana
  • dash of sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. almond butter
  • 3/4 serving (24g) Clean Simple Eats vanilla Protein powder
  • 1 Tbsp chopped almonds
  • dash of cinnamon
Directions
  • Combine oats, water, mashed banana, salt and vanilla together in a microwavable bowl. Microwave for 1-2 minutes until oatmeal begins to rise to the top of your bowl.
  • Stir in the almond butter. 
  • Let cool for a couple minutes then stir in the protein powder.
  • Top with chopped almonds and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
