Sugar Cookies

When we lived at my in-laws my mother-in-law was always trying new recipes. This one she received from a friend in her ward after having one of these cookies. They were such delicious sugar cookies!!!! The frosting was divine as well!

Bowl 1:
2 eggs
1 cup shortening
1 2/3 cup of sugar
1 tsp vanilla
-Beat together

Bowl 2:
2 Tbsp. Baking powder
1 Tbsp salt
1 ¼ tsp baking soda
5 cups flour
-Stir

Bowl 3:
1 cup milk
2Tbsp White Vinegar
-Stir

Add bowl 2 into bowl 1 in 3 parts, alternating with a 1/3 of bowl 3 each time. Put dough in fridge for 6 hours so it can be rolled out with less flour. Roll out dough and cut into cookies. Bake at 375 for 10 min or less. *****If cookies are AT ALL brown they cooked too long*****

Frosting (With almond flavoring) originally paired with above sugar cookie

1 cup shortening
2/3 cup of milk
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp almond extract
2 lb sack of powder sugar
