My roommate would make this a lot while we were in college and I loved it every time! This is just amazing! I love to eat it with fritos and sour cream. So good!!!!
1 pound ground beef {or turkey} browned with one chopped onion
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1-2 tsp oregano
3 cloves of garlic
3 cans of water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
3 Tbsp sugar
1/2-1 cup cooked rice
Simmer above ingredients for 40 minutes, then add 1/2-1 cup cooked rice. Simmer 10-15 minutes more before serving. Serve over fritos with cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, and peppers.
