Mashed Potatoes

These are the mashed potatoes I grew up on. I didn't know that people didn't have amazing mashed potatoes like this all the time. I just thought everyone had mashed potatoes that tasted this good! These are so easy, and a recipe is hardly needed, but my mom adds a little stuff to make her potatoes nice and creamy and yummy!!


½ to 1 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
½ pkg. of cream cheese
4 Tbsp. butter
garlic powder
and salt and pepper to taste

Boil your potatoes until fork tender then drain and return to pot. Then drop your butter in and then add the cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup milk and seasonings to taste. then whip together adding more milk to your desired consistency.
