This was my mom's go-to recipe for cupcakes! They give a makeover to the basic cake mix and taste really yummy!!
1 pkg. (18.25 oz.) plain yellow cake mix (any chocolate mix can be substituted)
1 box (3.8 oz.) instant chocolate pudding mix (any vanilla mix can be substituted)
1 cup sour cream 1/3 cup vegetable oil
¼ cup water ¼ cup sugar
4 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Blend together cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, oil, water, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until well blended. It should look smooth and thickened. Pour in chocolate chips, and mix. Poor into paper liners in muffin tin. Bake the cupcakes at 350 for 18-20 minutes.
