I was first introduced to this while working. A girl I worked with brought these in and I thought I had died and gone to heaven! They were THAT good! I had to have the recipe and she was kind enough to share! These are so yummy and taste even better chilled.
2 Cup butter or margarine
1 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 ¼ cup brown sugar
3 Cup flour
3 Cup quick oats
1 (120z) bag milk chocolate chips
1 bottle Mrs. Richardson’s butterscotch/caramel topping (My friend says that she has used other brands of caramel topping but they never taste as "Magical")
Soften butter, mix all ingredients except chocolate chips and caramel. Press ¾ of the mixture onto a cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and let it cool for 15 min. Drizzle on caramel and sprinkle on chocolate chips. Then sprinkle on remaining cookie mixture (this is sticky but fun). Bake for another 10-12 minutes. Let it cool again before cutting into bars. Then refrigerate.
