My favorite candy bar is a Twix. I LOVE the crunch with the caramal coated in chocolate.... mmmmm.... So when I found these at Triedandtasty.com, I couldn't resist making them. They turned out SO AMAZING!! They quickly became a family favorite and was made a lot! They are super easy to make and taste so good!!!!
Crust:
1 ¼ cup flour
¼ cup sugar
½ cup butter
Melt Butter. Stir flour and sugar together and add the melted butter. Pat into a 9x9 baking dish and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. LET COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE TOPPING WITH CARMAL LAYER
Caramel:
½ Cup butter
½ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Corn Syrup
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
Boil ingredients over medium heat for 5 minutes; stirring constantly. Remove from heat and beat until thick. Pour mixture over crust.
Chocolate:
2 cup milk chocolate chips
Melt chocolate chips and spread evenly over caramel layer. Let cool, then cut into bars.
**Helpful hint: Let the crust layer cool completely before pouring next layers on. Once the caramel layer is on, I found that melting the chocolate chips a couple minutes after that and then pouring it on instantly helped keep the bars together when being cut.
