I made these for my dessert assignment for Thanksgiving and oh my goodness were they divine!! They went like hot cakes :) I first pinned this recipe because they reminded me of my favorite cookie from Cutlers. I get excited to find similar food recipes for food I love at restaurants. These did not disappoint.... well I AM disappointed that they went so fast and are all gone... I wish I had one right now!
I found this from the Chef In Training
Chocolate Cookie
1 box of chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
Mix all ingredients together and roll into small balls. Gently flatten.
Bake 350 F for 8-10 minutes. BUT DO NOT OVER BAKE! The softer the better. **My side note here, the cookies will seem a little un-done but as they sit on the pan a few minutes after coming out of the oven they cook a little more and then once you move them to a cooling rack they set even more. You really want soft cookies!
Marshmallow Creme Frosting
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 tsp salt
1 jar marshmallow creme
1/2 tsp vanilla
2-3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
Beat butter and marshmallow creme until smooth. Mix in salt and vanilla. Add in powdered sugar and milk. Adjust levels of powdered sugar and milk to get to desired consistency-adding more powdered sugar to make it thicker and more milk to make it thinner.
Chocolate Frosting
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. milk
8 oz. powdered sugar'
Beat ingredients together adjusting milk/powdered sugar to get desired consistency.
When cookies are cooled, spread on Marshmallow Creme Frosting. Next spread on a little chocolate frosting.
